Literature Text

I've been sittin' around this house for way to long,
My hairs a mess, the foods all gone.
My mind is lost, my heart it aches,
And in my mouth a bitter taste.
Of rotting flesh,
Of brittle bone,
Of iron blood, tinged with chrome.
My body's just a fucking wreck,
With everything out of check.
My lips no longer can form words,
'Cause vocal chords are filled with worms.
My lungs turned black with all my lies,
Like smoke they caused cancer,
That spread to my eyes,
Too blind to see through all their cries.
My stomach gashed with all my ties,
Of family left so far behind.
With intestines tied in pretty bows,
My legs are nothing more than stone.
Too heavy to lift, too stiff to bend,
My feet are crumbling into sand.
The sun comes up to start one last day,
My eyes they blink and legs give way,
My lungs release the air in one final scream,
I catch my self, I start to breathe.
I run a hand through my hair,
my stomach growls,
I start to stare,
My pantries stocked, never bare,
I sigh and comb my tangled hair,
I grab the keys and walk outside,
My stomach will not stop it's whine.
Just one more day, the birds they sing,
I head to work, I want to scream.
This dream occurs every night.
It haunts me, give me such a fright.
Tonight I know the same will be true
So now I pass this dream to you.
Take a breath and close your eyes,
You're in for an unpleasant surprise.
